About Rooted Warriors Yoga

Grounded in Science. Grown from Heart.

Rooted Warriors Yoga was founded on a simple yet powerful belief: movement can be a gateway to healing, connection, and cognitive growth, at any age.

Led by a certified yoga instructor and licensed speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience, Rooted Warriors Yoga offers a brain-based, therapeutic approach to wellness that supports children with special needs and older adults in memory care alike.

What Makes Us Different?

Unlike traditional fitness or yoga programs, our classes are intentionally designed to support brain health, executive functioning, and emotional regulation.

We blend evidence-informed techniques with accessible movement, mindfulness, and breathwork to:

  • Strengthen short- and long-term memory

  • Improve focus and attention

  • Reduce stress and anxiety

  • Enhance language, communication, and body awareness

Whether we’re guiding a room of toddlers in a joyful animal pose or holding space for seniors to move gently and breathe deeply, our goal is the same: to nurture mind, body, and spirit in a safe and supportive environment.

Meet the Soul Behind the Serenity: Christine Davis

Hi, I’m Chris Davis, founder of Rooted Warriors Yoga!

For over two decades, I’ve worked as a speech-language pathologist specializing in early intervention for children under three with developmental delays. My work has taught me that movement is medicine, and when we combine it with mindfulness, it becomes transformational.

I created Rooted Warriors to bring this work to more people in ways that are playful, gentle, and powerful. Whether you’re a caregiver, parent, or activity director, I’d love to connect and explore how yoga can serve your community.

At Rooted Warriors Yoga, I combine my expertise in speech-language pathology with my passion for mindfulness and movement, fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to discover their inner strength and potential.
